Hi, I’m Marian Schulze.
I am a trained Spiritual Director with a Certificate of Spiritual Direction from Perkins School of Theology. My background was formed in the Christian faith tradition and I am a lifelong United Methodist.
I welcome all clients. You do not need to identify with any spiritual tradition or come with any prerequisite knowledge or background, only an openness to explore how the Spirit is inviting you into deeper relationship.
My Approach
I am passionate about providing a safe space to explore all of your questions about God and your faith. I am also drawn to providing support for clients who are grieving the loss of their faith community or have been wounded by that community in any way. Together, we will seek to experience God’s healing grace and love in a new way.
I believe all people reflect the face of God and to that end I love and affirm all of the LGBTQIA+ community.
I am also trained in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. In IFS, the "Self" is considered the core of a person, representing the true essence that is calm, compassionate, and confident. The Self is like the leader or ideal parent within us, capable of understanding, guiding, and healing the different parts of our personality. It is the Imago Dei, Highest Self, Inner Knowing, b'tzelem Elohim, or Atman that exists in each one of us. The goal of IFS is to help each person have more access to Self energy.
